What does infant dedication mean at our church? Well, it's actually more for the parents and the church (the congregation) than for the baby. Parents are taking responsibility:
- to raise their children in a home that points them to God
-to encourage and support their child in knowing the Lord
-to be held accountable to those in the church to raise their child in a way that gives glory to the Lord
And the church is coming alongside the parents, encouraging them, supporting them, and praying for them. It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for the community we have here.
At our church, we do baptism once someone steps over the faith line and accepts Christ as their Savior. Baptism is an outward symbol of an inward change. Hopefully in a few years, Will will be asking to be baptized!
Being up on stage wears a guy out. He slept hard afterwards! Such a sweet boy that we are so thankful for!
And I love the verse that we chose for him...we won't him to grow up strong in The Lord, knowing that He is all mighty!
