1. Adopting an older puppy (we think Max is between 4 and 6 months) is sooooo much easier than an itty bitty puppy like when we got Bailey.
2. Max sleeps through the night in his kennel. It's wonderful. See #1.
3. Feeding 2 dogs that both love to eat is tricky. They are protective of their food and will not share. (Suggestions for making this an easier process would be appreciated!)
4. Bailey and Max are already best buds. Max follows her around and wants to be just like her.
5. After Day 1, Max could sit on command. Seriously love this dog. I think German Shepherds are just smarter than labs maybe?!?
6. Max is making Bailey better too...she now can share her toys, the couch, our house, our attention, etc. Yay!!!
We are loving life with our pups!!!

With our two dogs, we gave them each their own water bowl and food bowl. This helped take away some of the food dominance. They learned to share their water bowls, but never the food.
Have them both sit while you fill the bowls. Then let them each go to one bowl and they can eat. If it's still causing problems, feed them in seperate rooms. They'll learn pretty fast, I promise!
